Hi, I’m Katie — a trained chef and native Angeleno, auntie to three adorable little cuties, and proud dog mom.
Mama Takes A Whisk was born out of love and intention. When both my sisters had their children, I didn’t want to just drop off “any” meal. I wanted to create something purposeful — food that truly nourishes and heals from the inside out during the sacred postpartum season.

I draw from ancient healing wisdom and global medicine - reimagined with a modern touch - to understand what new moms really need to restore their strength and well-being. Because let’s face it, postpartum is a time when your whole focus is on your baby, and it’s easy to forget to care for yourself.
That’s where I come in. Mama Takes A Whisk provides thoughtfully crafted, nutrient-dense meals designed to support healing and nourishment — not just for mom, but for the whole household. I source only the best ingredients, focusing on organic produce, pasture-raised chicken, and grass-fed meat. My meals are dairy-free, seed oil-free, and designed to accommodate a range of dietary restrictions.
My goal is to take the burden off your plate (literally!). I prepare everything with love and care, so all you have to do is heat and eat — giving you more time and energy for yourself and your family.
I’m endlessly inspired by what women do every day, especially during those first challenging months after birth. Mama Takes A Whisk is here to offer that big, warm hug in the form of food — a reminder that you’re supported, valued, and never alone on this journey.
